Match Information & Updates
How quickly are football match results and scores updated on WhenIsTheMatch?
Live scores are updated in real time for most matches. Some smaller competitions or lower-profile matches may update less frequently, with final results and match details generally available within 48 hours after the match ends.
How often are football schedules, TV channels, and video highlights updated?
We refresh data about once per hour.
Are football fixtures converted to my local time zone automatically?
Yes, all fixtures are automatically shown in your local time zone, detected by your browser.
How do I find out what channel a football match is on?
Just search for the team on WhenIsTheMatch — if broadcasters in your country are confirmed, you’ll see them listed.
Why can’t I see TV channels or broadcast info for a football match?
- We only show TV channels available in your country (based on your IP). Some matches simply have no broadcaster where you are.
- Broadcast info is often contributed manually and may be missing for certain regions.
Which football leagues and tournaments does WhenIsTheMatch cover?
WhenIsTheMatch covers hundreds of football competitions worldwide. This includes the biggest domestic leagues (Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1) as well as international tournaments like the Champions League, Europa League, Euro, Copa América and the World Cup. New leagues and cups are added regularly based on fan requests.
Why can’t I find my team’s fixtures on WhenIsTheMatch?
Some teams aren’t listed yet. Please contact us and we can usually add it — each team takes time to add and maintain, but the list keeps growing.
Why can’t I watch official football highlights for some matches?
We aim to provide official, good-quality highlights when they’re available in your country. Copyright or regional restrictions can make them hard to find. If you can share a trustworthy source for missing highlights, we’d love to hear from you.
What statistics are available on match pages?
Match pages focus on the most important insights for a clear and easy-to-follow overview, such as possession, expected goals (xG), shots, passes, fouls, cards, corners, and more. The available statistics depend on the competition and the data source.
League & Competition Pages
How do I browse league or competition matches?
Use the search bar to find a competition and select a season. The 'Matches' tab lets you browse fixtures organized into three views:
- Round: matches grouped by official competition matchdays or rounds
- Results: past matches grouped by date in your local time zone, sorted with the most recent results first
- Upcoming: upcoming fixtures grouped by date in your local time zone, sorted chronologically
How can I check league standings?
From any competition page, if standings are available for the current season, a dedicated 'Standings' tab will appear. It will show the current tables for league formats and group stages of knockout competitions.
Notifications
How can I get notified when my team plays?
Open a team page and click the notifications icon in the banner to choose when to receive match reminders via push notifications.
Why can’t I enable football match notifications?
Your device or browser is probably blocking notifications. Check your browser’s notification settings and permissions.
Will I receive notifications on all my devices (phone, tablet, laptop...)?
No. To protect your privacy we don’t require an account or store personal data, so settings aren’t shared across devices.
Why didn’t I get my football match notification?
Mobile operating systems can delay or block push delivery to save battery. Please review the following:
- Ensure notifications are allowed for WhenIsTheMatch in your browser/device settings.
- On Android, disable the “Remove permissions if app is unused” option.
- Keep the application open or recently active to help ensure timely delivery.

Can I watch live football matches on WhenIsTheMatch?
No, we don’t stream matches. We provide schedules, TV channels, and highlights so you know where and when to watch legally.
Will there be more football match notifications?
Yes. Planned options include:
- Opt-in alerts when match highlights are available.
- No plans for minute-by-minute alerts, such as goals or injuries.
Will betting odds be included on WhenIsTheMatch?
No. Betting odds aren’t part of the site’s mission.
Installing the app
Do I need to install an app to use WhenIsTheMatch?
No, installation is completely optional. The site works perfectly in your browser. Installing it on your phone gives an app-like experience with quicker access.
How do I add WhenIsTheMatch to my Android home screen?
